Spring Show Report - 11 th March 2023
The first show of the year has set a high standard for 2023. Despite comments about the cold weather preventing the green shoots of Spring, our members managed to produce a beautiful display of daffoldils. The show benches of "yellow" greeted us as we entered the hall. Wordsworth would have been impressed!
 
The young people, including the local cubs, displayed some beautiful art work and flower arrangements. We had more photographs exhibited than we've seen in quite a while and a good number of handicrafts on display. There is certainly some talent in our midst!
 
We were honoured to have The Worshipful the Mayor Cllr Becky Haggar-Kaikitis and her mother with us during the afternoon and presenting the awards. Our President, Catherine Dann, escorted the Mayor around the show.
 
The Society has been supported by Stillwater Bathrooms for twenty years and we are very grateful to Terry Patel for his support.
 
This year we have support from another local business, Robert Cooper Estate Agents. They have printed documents for the Society and also helped with the setup at the start of the show and clearing away. We were delighted that Steve Pursey, his wife, Marilyn and two sons, Brooke and Clarke were able to join us at various times during the day.
 
The Society is fortunate to receive sponsorship from local Eastcote businesses and we look forward to developing these relationships in the future. Apart from Stillwater and Robert Cooper Estate Agents we have received long term support from Crispe Opticians.
